Innisfree - Capsule Recipe Pack

Long time no see! A series of episodes happened in September, that I didn't manage to blog a lot last month (´Д`)

September was both great and horrible at the same time - it was my birth month, I finally decided to save up and study Japanese seriously, I get to eat a lot of things and made some new friends! But the worst also came: My company decided to shut my department with a month's notice, my grandparents have been going in and out of the hospital, and I didn't quite manage to get what is supposed to be done, done. :(

Now that it's October, I am still looking for a new job and all, but there weren't much good news so far so I'm pretty much stressed. And since I was so stressed, the thought of "why not trying to put on some masks and have some time to relax?" came, so I did take some time to scramble through my stash of masks and found some pretty decent stuff that I've been dying to share, and that's why I'm writing the post today! 💖

These sweet capsules were bought from the innisfree retail stores for RM10 each! I only got four of them to try out, and they are:

  1. rice (the pale beige pack) for skin brightening
  2. aronia (the purple pack) for nutrition
  3. pomegranate (the red pack) for firming; and
  4. bija + aloe (the green pack) to fight off some acnes + soothing.

There are quite some plus-points for this product! The first plus point is the small size. Super easy to pack into a backpack! Imagine carrying just one of these and you're free to go on a two-days weekend roadtrip instead of carrying pieces of sheet masks!

Mine came in small tubs like these, where there's a foil that you can tear open and take the desired products out to apply on your face, then you can seal it back! The resealable design is the second plus point of this product!

The moment I opened the capsule, I was hoping that the capsule was full of the product, but nope, it wasn't full. The only reasons that I could think of is that it would be better not to have it completely filled because (1) hygiene reasons and (2) it'll actually be easier to spill if there's an incident that causes extra force to be applied onto the capsule that may cause some squeezing and leaking to happen, if the capsule is actually 100% filled. So I went "hmm oh well" and gave it a go.

The funny thing was, I did not realize that all of these capsules that I have bought were actually sleeping masks. I actually started to put them on 2 hours before bed, (lmao), (2) I low-key wanted the product to dry more before I fall asleep because I hate to think that the products will get onto my pillows when they aren't dry, and (3) I'm just gonna forget about putting on a mask before bed if I got really tired anyways.

So far I've opened up each product and only finished the rice one. I'd say that if you have a small face and you don't feel generous about putting a lot of products on your face, a capsule could last for actually 5, or maybe 6 tries. Unfortunately, I have a face as large as my thick Chinese dictionary (lol I cri) so the rice sleeping pack lasted for three nights (though if I were acting stingier the pack could last for another night). All of them smelled really nice and I loved their fragrance!

As a whole, I'd give this product a 4.6/5 rating, because I wouldn't say that they work like magic that makes you wake up like a queen with shiny, flawless skin, but I feel refreshed and I like how my skin feels upon washing it (with water) every time I wake up. However, judging from the value, it's like RM2.50 per night (some online sales sell this product cheaper so the average cost per use is also a lot cheaper) if each capsule lasts for 4 uses! Sheet masks outside could cost a lot more, so it's still a nice value for the resealable design, plus the fact that this product is really easy to carry around. It'd be a nice product to use in a long run if you can get it at a lower price! (You can even use it to store your foundation or skincare for your next trip if you wanna LOL)

So that's all for my review today! Until next time!
