Believe in magic, they say. But is b.liv's product believable? And that's what I wanted to really try out!
I've been wanting to talk about these product since I bought them from Hermo's 5th anniversary sales, so here I am!
The reviews floating around the net are what actually makes me wanting to try these bottles so much, and because it was actually on such a great deal from Hermo, so I bought four bottles tbh and praying for some sort of really good improvements to my skin.
So in this post, I'm reviewing b.liv's oil leviate and got oil relief.
Generally, the product designs of b.liv by cellnique (yes it isn't a Korean brand as far as I've known) are very minimalist and simple. However, to be really frank, as I've tried their miniature taser (read my review here), I realized that not all of their products suit me, but some worked pretty well on my combination skin!
First, I will talk about oil leviate. This product is the one with a smaller bottle in the picture above. It is gel-like and it and had a faint fragrance. The smell it isn't bad, no worries! The bottle is small, it only contains 30ml of the product and you might think "this is so little!" and I would agree with you on this part.
I felt that 30ml sounds very little too, to be honest. However, when the bottle came I'm like hmmm this doesn't feel too little. I've been using it for at least a month on almost a daily basis in fact, and it's only like 1/7 of the product is gone!
Application: I applied them on my T-zones, eyelids and cheeks because they are my problem areas. This product also claims to hydrate your skin and mattify it so I was really excited! Note: I did not use got oil relief when I used this product.
How it felt: It felt great on my skin, and I could see the mattifying effect! Skin feels smoother and less oily too! For my usual days of work without the product or makeup, my face turns shiny around 12pm. However, with this product my skin looks shiny only around 4pm. I also feel that my skin is soft. Some existing pimples went down a little, and there isn't any new breakouts with this product too!
My verdict: 4.5/5 pls come in larger bottles! I think it might need to be paired with other products to get rid of my pimples but it's really nice so far! Still using it on a daily basis too! You only needed 1 or 1.5 pumps to cover your entire face, so you can use a bottle for quite some time as well! At my rate of using it, it would probably last me for half a year. Since I bought two bottles, I'll be able to use it for a full year! Yay!
Next, I will talk about got oil relief. This product has a spraying feature, but it isn't a mist spray. The product itself smells like general toners I use (I think it's the smell of the chamomile flower extract since it's in the ingredients list), but I think it also contains alcohol from how I try to smell the product. The ingredients list has Butylene Glycol, so I suppose it is alcohol that helps to reduce some inflammation on the pimples _(:3J
Application: After cleaning my face with a cleanser, I'll spray the product evenly on across my face and pat my face. Since I think my face is pretty large I had to spray about three times to get the product on my face evenly.
How it felt: Saddened. Disappointed. My skin was feeling hydrated at a point of time but I get more and more breakouts on my jaw area. Skin didn't feel oily at 12pm but... breakouts really saddened me so much I have like an colony of new pimples all along my jawline and under my chin when I thought they would reduce them!
My verdict: 1/5 for f*ck's sake the points were only given because it hydrates and controls the shiny skin for a tad bit longer. I am so pissed because the pimples won't go away even it I tried something else! I don't know if it is only for my skin, but how did this product work on others' skin perfectly? I deeply regret on getting two bottles and I have absolutely no idea on what I should do with it right now. If anyone would like to buy off the new, unopened bottle I'd be more than happy to sell you at the price I bought it. I also tried this product along with oil leviate but nope there's still new breakouts, but lesser.
Final thoughts: I'd get oil leviate at any time, but got oil relief is really not something that I'll be using. Ever again.
If you are interested to try, go on! But don't be like me for buying so much and ended up getting disappointed. :(
Until next time, while I'll look for ways to get rid of these new breakouts over my jawline. :(
