I tried 3 horse oil products from Japan!

Hello everyone! I'm back with writing more reviews! (*´▽`*)

This time, I wanted to write about horse oil products for hands and skin! I will be reviewing about the products I've tried, then I'll also share some info of horse oil products!

I bought all three products in Tokyo! I thought they were at great deals, and because the weather was pretty cold compared to Kuala Lumpur, I was ultimately scared that my skin would dry out that I kept looking around the drugstores for different stuff!

The first item I bought was a hand cream by Heartfull Cosmetics, I bought it at 268 yen in a drugstore of Takeshita street of Harajuku.

The label also says 'for medical use only'. To be honest, my right hand had this condition where there's this patch of skin of about the size of two 500 yen coins on my palm (stretching a little to my index finger too) that gets SUPER DRY that the skin would 'die' and you could really peel it off. Underneath the epidermis of the skin you can also see little dots that looked like poxes, and they would turn super itchy from time to time that it is super annoying! Despite seeing different doctors and applying to various kinds of creams, the patch of skin never cures to a normal state.

Besides, the product description also says that the product is slightly acidic, and there is no additional coloring or fragrance added. It also says that it will help in the metabolism of the skin and gives elasticity.

And it's because of that I was hoping really hard that there will be some improvements to my skin condition on my right hand!

When squeezed out from the tube, this product color looks like diluted milk, but not watery to the extent it'd run around like water. The odor wasn't unpleasant, but I wasn't very sure how to describe it. This product feels a little watery after application but it didn't feel bad.

My hands feel moisturized after applying the product, and I reapply every couple of hour to keep my hands from drying. The skin has less peeling, and I don't feel any stinging, especially towards the patch of horrible skin. My nails also feel a lot more comfortable during the cold weathers in Japan! No peelings or weird skin condition around the nails too! Not to mention, the product, although it is 'horse OIL', it isn't oily in a disgusting way that most people would think ^^

After returning from Japan, I kept using them in my current work office to the extent where I actually used the product more frequently than when I was in Japan, because our office room is so cold I had to keep my hands moisturized. They are still working well, but somehow I had to apply them on the back of my hands so I don't make my keyboard stained.

Then, on the day before I leave Tokyo, I bought this from a small drugstore in Shinjuku!

The reason I bought this was because of the popularity of the product, and it was seemingly cheaper compared to general drugstores, so I bought them right away! ^^

Compared to the one from Heartfull, this product is less runny, but it works pretty well too! It didn't feel irritating and it's also very moisturizing. The product is also easily absorbed into the skin too! I even applied it on my grandma's 90 y/o super dry arms and even she said that it feels nice too!

I forgot how much exactly I have bought this product in Japan, but they are generally not very cheap if bought from non-Japanese online stores as far as I could remember too.

This product is like a cream/lotion. The product itself is white, doesn't have a strong or unpleasant odor, and is also easy to apply. It also didn't feel irritating on the skin.

Then, I also bought the following product from Japan!

This is also a cream for hands, where the use is similar to the first product. If memory serves me right, you can find this in Hokkaido.

This product, compared to the first one (from Heartfull), has a whiter color, but it isn't as runny as the first. As for the moisturizing power, I think they are pretty similar, but I think that this one works a bit better than the one from heartfull when we are going to talk about the feeling that the product has left on the skin after application. However, my horrible skin patch feels better with Heartfull's product, so I'll personally want to keep using it!

In conclusion, I'd give the following rating to the products in an ascending order:

Moisturizing: Skin Cream #2 > Hokkaido > Heartfull
Medical function: Heartfull > Skin Cream > Hokkaido #2
Odor strength: Hokkaido > Heartfull > Skin Cream #2

Some questions that you might want to get an answer!

Q1: How long can these products last?
A1: Generally, within a year after opening the product. As for the creams, best to finish using them in 6 months.

Q2:Is it possible to use it on dry face?
A2: For the second product that I reviewed, I think it's completely ok to use on the face because regardless how I rank them, they definitely are moisturizing. Since the other two products I reviewed are hand creams, it's the best to used on the hand only.

Sorry for the lack of updates in the past week, I hope to update again soon!

Until next time! ☆
